We love the British Shorthaired Cat!
My prefix Kinderpaws means children's paws in German.
We chose this as our cats are treated as our children. We live in
Sittingbourne, Kent having moved down from Southport Merseyside, and
still continue to home kittens to the Northwest as well as our new
location here in the South east. Although we do home kittens to most
locations if required. We decided to start breeding British Shorthair
after my pet Blue Self girl Perrdi passed away in 1998. We became
very interested in the feline genetics study and visited a few shows
which lead us to start breeding in 2000. We started off with one Blue
Self girl which lead to five and the purchase of our stud boy Gargantua
Galileo from our friends Debbie and Geoff Wills of Gargantua British
Shorthair.
Sam as we call him, gained his Championship status at the young age
of 17months and received Lilac Self Supreme Best of Breed in 2004.
We concentrate on breeding Lilac, Blue and Cream and lightly Colourpointed.
All my cats live indoors or purpose built chalets and runs in our
private garden. We are expanding to provide a public cattery in 2006,
the cattery is expected to be finished later in the year, and will
be known as Allpaws Cattery.
Our private cattery is looked after by all of us and is a very close
family run unit. We provide our cats with full time love and attention
which they enjoy as do we. We feel this also adds to the temperaments
of our kittens. Our aim is to better the breed as best we can and
would like to thank all those that have helped us and continue to
help us along our way.
